Sunday Morning :)

Good Morning everyone, or afternoon if you are on the east coast. I'm enjoying my first weekend off after a month of working! But now I've got a pretty nice break, three days off. I'm still living in 29 palms, california. It's been nice here, 98 degrees. Which feels super nice now compared to the 115 degree days of the summer. I know, who would have thought I would ever say that 98 degrees felt comfortable. I never thought I would. I've been finding things to do out here. Been playing a lot of basketball. Yup, haven't played that in a few years, but its been fun to get back in to! Not that great, but it's good exercise and it's fun :) Yesterday I went shopping, got a new motorcycle jacket so I can go out riding with my man :) (His motorcycle is his full time hobby) lol.

I went skydiving about a month ago with some of my co-workers and my roommate. Time of my life! If anyone ever thought about going I would for sure recommend it. Absolute blast!!! This picture is us doing a backflip out of the plane. :D The only time I got nervous was the second before we jumped. The whole ride up I was fine. But I didn't have much time to think about it before we were out and flying through the sky! We free-fell for a minute before I pulled the chute. The free-fall is the best part of it!! (I think I'm an adrenaline junkie!) Just maybe. Hoping to go again sometime too!! 

The second pic is coming out of free-fall and pulling the chute. As soon as you know that your chute opened correctly, it's a slight relief, because you know it'll take you safely to the ground :)

Other than that not too much else going on. Can't remember if I mentioned that I'm engaged, been awhile since I've posted so probably not. lol. But this is my handsome man, Mel :)

At work, excited for vacation

Hey everyone! I guess those of you that read whenever I happen to post. lol. I'm at work right now. We are training Marines to get ready to deploy. Making sure that they know all the things they need to know before they go! I'm going home to the good ol UP in a week!!! Cannot wait! Been over a year since I've been! Kinda crazy to think that its been that long!! I love California tho! I mean how couldn't you, beautiful weather all year long, the ocean, surfing, snowboarding, and I've made some great friends out here! I mean, where I live right now (29palms) isn't so great. Basically its just hot, and there isn't really anything to do, so I make frequent weekend trips back to oceanside (2hrs) on the weekends:) But its all about a new experience right!? And its only for a year, then I go back to where I was! I got to see miss Cindy L'Esperance. She came out for a few days, which I got time off for:) We explored, had girl talk, went shopping and...had FUN! Awesome time I'd have to say! I've been so lucky to have visitors out here! Anyways, how is everyone, good I hope!!:) See you soon if you happen to live in da UP!!!:)

just another day

So it is just another day, but today I have news. I don't really want to say it out loud cause I don't really want it to be true. My life is about to get a whole lot hotter and a whole lot more boring. I'm moving to 29 palms california, for a year, about 2.5 hours north east of here. Its the dessert. Can't say I'm too pumped, but I guess I have no choice but to get over it! When the marine corps decides your doing something, you don't really have much of a choice. Your opinion is not important. But i guess like everything, gotta make the best of it right!

Saturday

I love saturdays, sleeping in, making breakfast, getting things done, cleaning, (I know, why do I enjoy cleaning?!) watching movies, and relaxing! Today I made ham egg and pepperjack cheese sandwiches for breakfast. So good. If I had to pick one meal, it would be breakfast. There is rarely a breakfast food I don't like...pancakes, french toast, eggs, toast, bagels, nisu, pannukakku, coffee, cinnamon rolls. The list could go on and on! And its all so good!!

This week I was supposed to have company, but her car broke down on the way to the airport, so I ended up still keeping my days days off to take care of things I needed to do. Got my closet organized. I love when everything is clean and organized. And I think thats why I like cleaning now, cause I love how everything ends up.

California has been rainy lately, it was awesome (sarcasm intended) when I was out working on the flight line, and all of a sudden it just decides to start pouring. Then quits while I'm inside, and of course starts pouring when I have to make that run to my car :) But I did enjoy when I got home and we got a small amount of thunder and lightning. Haven't seen a big thunderstorm in a long time, so even though it wasn't much I enjoyed it!
